Joy Jones. If you haven’t checked out this LA-based singer before, expect masterful Afro-beat lullabies, future jazz/soul, protest songs and electronic hymns from her 2009 album Godchild (Future Soul Records), co-produced by London’s own Daz-I-Kue of soulful broken beat collective Bugz In The Attic.

“I have spent quite a bit of time thinking about what I want to say and the messages I want to put out,” says Joy. “This is a labor of love and I hope that it translates and transforms into a tool for change.”
