It’s supposedly from the forthcoming album ‘Black Summer Nights’ but you know how leaked tracks have a nasty habit (no pun intended) of not turning up on official releases so enjoy whilst you can. Personally I prefer this to ‘Pretty Wings’. ‘Pretty…’ was OK but I was a bit underwhelmed by it – I expected more based on the MySpace teaser. ‘Bad Habits’ has got more personality, more classically Maxwell IMHO. That said, my man could sing you your tax return and make it sound like the most beautiful thing you’ve heard.

Anyway some thoughts and feedback would be appreciated.

Shalom, Miss T x

After hearing Pretty Wings I fell in love that was until I heard Bad Habits which gets you at every angle – melodically, arrangements – so soulful. The album has 9 tracks and though the other tracks are not as good, once you hear the album a few times its grow on you. Great effort from Maxwell.

Slowly but surely just about every track from the album has been available for a listen on the net.

Bad Habits is definitely on the album (opening track i believe). I agree that it’s better than Pretty Wings, but from what i’ve heard there are other equeally good tracks. Word is that the album will only be 9 tracks long (8 vocal + 1 instrumental) but suppose that’s to be expected if this is the first part of a trilogy.
