Jay-Z performs the New York anthem live on the prestigious Jools Holland show.

Don’t crucify me… but I think I prefer Bridget Kelly’s vocals to Alicia Keys’.
Just saying.

    I prefer AKs vocal on the record the fact she sounds like she is really reaching for each note gives it an urgency for me

    Bridget Kelly didn’t really have to stretch for the notes which made it smoother but I missed the rasp

    Looks like Jay might not have a horn-section in his band this time out bit disappointing if he doesn’t

    Drummer looked like Nas at a glimpse lol

    Agreed I think she sound better than AK on this.

  3. I totally agree, Bridget Kelly’s vocals are superior to Alicia Keys on this one. Shame she didn’t get the nod on the album version.
