Rihanna gets high-fashion in Harper’s Bazaar cover shoot | Style

Never one to shy away from a fashion challenge and known for sporting edgy makeup from time to time, Rihanna takes it back to basics in a new photo shoot for fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar. But since this is Rihanna we’re talking about, the basics include designer labels and snakeskin dresses.

Wearing little make-up to showcase her gorgeous, young face, the Bajan popstar lets her natural beauty shine through in the shoot, reminding everyone that although she’s had years in the spotlight she’s still just 23 years old. Rihanna jumps between simplistic photos and more high-fashion, arty pics like the one in which she poses with a sting vest-style polo neck pulled up over half her face.

Her daring fashion sense has not gone unnoticed by designers, with everyone from Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, Balmain and Alexander Wang clamoring to dress her in thousands of dollars worth of clothes for the shoot. Tom Ford’s gold snakeskin dress paired with clashing leopard boots is a definite showstopper, as is the studded white Balmain dress.
