Prototype as Product: 3D Printable Headphones | Design

With 3D-Printing technology slowly becoming more accessible for small businesses and consumers, the possibility of creating new products from the creatively of a individual or a small team draws nearer. The idea of living life in prototype is almost jet set, and perhaps we are ready. In a world where everyone is grasping for their own sense of identity, creativity is the only path.

Teague Labs is a group of designers within Teague, a global industrial design consultancy. Recently they created a pair of 3D-Printable headphones based on the idea of what if we lived “life in beta.” The CAD designs are free for download, however the cost of creating these cool headphones comes out of your pocket. But hey, at least you can tell your friends that you printed them yourself.
