The multi-talented RZA has another project in the works.

With his directorial debut The Man with the Iron Fists due for release on November 2nd, the legendary producer has now announced that he will be releasing an anime short in connection with the movie.

Well-known for his interest in the Kung Fu movies of the ’80s, the Wu-Tang man is perhaps hoping to emulate his hero Quentin Tarantino, who released an animated version of his Kill Bill series. This animation is being created with the help of Eric Calderon, who produced Afro Samurai and it will show on Machinima’s Youtube channel some time this month.

The Man with the Iron Fists will depict a character called The Blacksmith (RZA) as he fights to protect a small 19th century Chinese village against enemies within. RZA will star alongside a cast that includes Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Cung Le, Byron Mann, Rick Yune, Jamie Chung and David Bautista.

The soundtrack, composed by RZA and Howard Drossin, will include original songs by artists such as Kanye West, Pusha T, The Black Keys and members of the Wu themselves.

The RZA and Machinima will also be holding a sweepstakes contest for one lucky fan (and a guest) to win flights and tickets to see The Man with the Iron Fists’ premiere in NYC. Watch a teaser for the animated film below, where the hip-hop legend explains how you can win this fantastic prize:
