Multitalented performer Beyoncé Knowles will be adding a few more skills to her toolkit in the near future – as she and HBO have announced plans for her to star in and direct a documentary about her life, which will debut on their network February 16th of next year.

A post on Beyonce’s facebook describes the film as “fusion of video that provides raw, unprecedented access to the private entertainment icon and high-voltage performances.” Expect a wide variety of footage, including intimate shots by the star herself on her laptop. The superstar will reveal moments where she “reflects on the realities of celebrity, the refuge she finds onstage and the transcendent joy of becoming a mother last year.”

Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming, elaborates that “along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman.”

Beyonce has already made her mark as a singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer. Fans can look forward to the beginning of yet another venture on February 16th.
