International teaser trailer for ‘Jack Reacher’ starring Tom Cruise unveiled [Video]

In spite of his widely reported domestic issues, international man of action Tom Cruise is all set to engage in some more major ass-kicking on the silver screen in the coming months.

Currently singing and dancing up a storm as Stacee Jaxx in Adam Shankman’s Rock of Ages, the iconic leading man has several big-budget movies in the works, including Oblivion, All You Need Is Kill, a Van Helsing reboot and possible Top Gun and Mission: Impossible sequels.

Next up, though, for Mr. Jerry Maguire is Jack Reacher, a romping thriller with plenty of guts and glory.

Based on Lee Childs’ crime series, Jack Reacher also stars Robert Duvall, Richard Jenkins, David Oyelowo, the beautiful Rosemund Pike and the mightily cool Werner Herrzog. The upcoming film is written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

Tense and action-packed, the movie follows Reacher, a respected homicide detective, as he attempts to solve a case involving a skilled military sniper accused of shooting five random victims.

Having scored major box office success with Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, breathing more life into the super-sleuthing character of Ethan Hawke, Cruise may just be able to craft another well-loved action hero in Jack Reacher and save the day once more.
