Irreverent funny-man, Mike Epps will be starring in Todd Phillips’ The Hangover Part III, according to reports.
The 41 year old actor and stand-up comedian starred in the first Hangover movie in 2009, and is set to make another appearance in the successful comedy franchise, reprising his role as Black Doug.
His character is mistakenly kidnapped by Ken Jeong‘s extravagant gangster – Mr. Chow – and is returned to the film’s principal trio of buddies, Stu, Phil and Alan (played by Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis).
So far, not much is known about the size and scope of Epps’ role in the film, but Ken Jeong is expected to play a major part in the film.
Epps will also be starring in Salim Akil‘s Motown drama, Sparkle, and the horror/thriller, Viapaka, alongside Forest Whitaker, Anthony Mackie and Sanaa Lathan.
Hangover 3 is set to be released May 24 next year.
