Warner Bros. has unveiled an all-new official international trailer for its all-star, action-packed crime noir Gangster Squad.

The cops-versus-robbers period drama glitters with Hollywood gold, starring the likes of Academy Award winner Sean Penn, Oscar nominee Josh Brolin, perennial man of the moment Ryan Gosling and the deceptively accomplished Giovanni Ribisi, as well as budding stars Emma Stone, Anthony Mackie and Michael Peña.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the eagerly-awaited film is a screen adaptation of Paul Lieberman’s Tales from the Gangster Squad. It chronicles the LAPD’s violent fight to rid ’40s and ’50s Los Angeles of Mafia crime lords, portraying the blood, guts and glory of the harrowing battle between the enforcers of the law and those so egregiously on the wrong side of it.

A succinct 1:35 short, the film’s newly-released international trailer packs as much punch as a heavyweight boxer’s glove, hitting all the right pressure points to suggest Fleischer’s gang-busting flick will be a knockout success. Reminiscent of the 1997 neo-noir, L.A. Confidential, Gangster Squad looks smart and sexy, making for a highly attractive proposition.
