Noel Clarke is a busy, busy man. Having already released two movies this year — sports drama Fast Girls and scary sci-fi flick Storage 24 — the prolific 36-year-old is all set to show off the lighter, comedic aspects of his work in the upcoming rom-com The Knot.
Written by Clarke, Geoff Carino and Davie Fairbanks and directed by Jesse Lawrence, the film stars Pride & Prejudice‘s Talulah Riley, Misfits actor Matthew McNulty and American Beauty‘s Mena Suvari.
The movie captures the slapstick shenanigans and mishaps of a couple before their wedding day.
The official synopsis for the movie reads:
Soulmates Alexandra (Talulah Riley) and Jeremy (Matthew McNulty) are getting married. At least that’s the plan. Unfortunately for them, nonchalant best man Peter (Noel Clarke), bridesmaid Sarah (Mena Suvari) and an army of naysayers haven’t heard they’re meant to be together. Can missing bridesmaids, crashed cars, a trip to A&E, and a delivery of pigs testicles stand in the way of true love?
The Knot hits cinemas 5 October. Watch the trailer below.
