Len Wiseman’s remake of Paul Verhoeven’s 1990 sci-fi hit Total Recall edges ever closer to exploding its way onto the big screen.
Starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale (Wiseman’s boo & beau), Jessica Biel, Ethan Hawke and Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston, Wiseman’s take on the popular Schwarzenegger vehicle is devoid of a trip to Mars and contains strong political overtones but will be looking to replicate the cult success of Verhoeven’s thrilling action film.
Loosely based on Phillip K. Dick’s 1966 short story “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale,” Wiseman’s Total Recall reboot tells the tale of Douglas Quaid – a factory worker who discovers that he’s a spy whose memory has been erased.
Boasting a stellar cast, the biggest and very best of computer generated effects, some fantastic stunts and several nods to Verhoeven’s 1990 original including a striking prostitute with three breasts, Total Recall is sure to be one of the hits of the summer.
