Due for a September 7 release, Ruben Fleischer‘s Gangster Squad crime-noir is looking all the more delectable with each passing week.
The mouthwatering period piece follows a lean, mean crime fighting team, as the wily and determined group of gangbusters seek to put an end to the criminal enterprises of Mafia-like syndications taking hold of LA.
The much discussed gangster film pits the LAPD’s Sergeant John O’Mara (played by Josh Brolin) against legendary crime boss, Mickey Cohen (portrayed by Sean Penn), alongside a host of great acting talents like Ryan Gosling, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribisi, Emma Stone, Michael Peña and Nick Nolte.
Not satisfied with releasing a wonderful, classy and high-octane trailer to set the movie’s publicity ball rolling, the minds behind the film have also unveiled an equally impressive poster; putting the Gangster Squad marketing team at 2 for 2.
