‘Somebody Up There Likes Me’ film promo vid f/ Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, Alison Brie

With studios bombarding viewers with trailers, teaser trailers, trailers for teasers and teasers for teasers, it’s refreshing to see that a few creative minds have been hard at work thinking up new ways to market their films. That’s exactly what the awesome Nick Offerman has been up to, upping the anticipation for his new movie, Somebody Up There Likes Me.

Written and directed by Bob Byington, the indie comedy stars Parks and Recreation‘s Nick Offerman – one of the funniest actors currently on TV – as a man who doesn’t age.

Well received at this year’s SXSW festival, the film is garnering some healthy buzz, and should be released next year. In the meantime Offerman, who also co-produces the movie, has upped the ante for the project, featuring in a strange and funny promo for the flick.

Teaming up with his wife, Will & Grace’s Megan Mullally, and Community’s (not to mention Mad Men) doe-eyed sexy princess, Alison Brie, Offerman bongs it up, getting high as a kite with his better half and young buddy, smoking away any sense of what he’s talking about or promoting, ironically selling the movie with aplomb.
