‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ teasers, posters released | TV News

FX’s macabre series American Horror Story is gearing up for its second season, replacing the tale of the doomed Harmon family and the infamous “murder house” with one revolving around an eerie 1960s insane asylum run by a nun played by Jessica Lange, who played the Harmons’ creepy next-door neighbor Constance in season one. FX has released a series of short teasers and exclusive posters to give fans a glimpse of what to expect from the show’s sophomore season.

Season one of AHS garnered an impressive 17 Emmy nominations, but series co-creator Ryan Murphy says the second season looks to turn it up a notch by going in a totally different — yet equally spooky — direction.

“It’s a completely different thing,” he tells TV Line about season two. “It’s a completely different story, a completely different period, and a completely different look. It’s like doing a new project. It can’t be compared to the first season.”

Check out a few of the teasers and posters below. American Horror Story: Asylum premieres October 17 on FX.

The difference between the two seasons is apparent in the
advertising. The images and teasers for the second season are twisted and dark,
very fitting for an asylum filled with crazy people. A co-worker at Dish and I have
been obsessing over everything American Horror Story, since the first details
were revealed. We have been taking note of the clues, trying to theorize what
they might mean. But with their vague nature, it’s impossible to say. I am
counting the days until I get to watch this on my Hopper. The 2,000 hours of
recording space letting me stay caught up, even with my busy schedule. If even
the posters for the new season have managed to give me chills; I can’t even
imagine what’s in store for the actual show.

I totally agree. I was very much into the first season and can’t wait for Season 2 to start.
