Earlier this month the BBC delighted fans of the popular Time Lord popularly known as Doctor Who with the release of a highly impressive and visually stunning trailer for the upcoming seventh series of the iconic show.
Dramatic and action-packed, the trailer set the internet abuzz with Doctor Who mania, whetting a universally insatiable appetite for the popular time-travelling hero. Premiering at London’s BFI Southbank on August 14, “Asylum of the Daleks” — the first episode of the new series — was well received, earning the praise of critics and fans.
Soon to be aired for all to enjoy, “Asylum of the Daleks” focuses heavily on the tinny extraterrestrial mutants, as the good doctor faces one of his most difficult challenges yet. Kindly, the BBC has decided to release a spiffy but no less appetising teaser for the episode, providing a brief and satisfying glimpse into the impending drama. Short and sweet, the 20-second video captures the tension of the upcoming season, ramping up the excitement levels.
The official synopsis for the episode reads as follows:
“Kidnapped by his oldest foe, the Doctor is forced on an impossible mission – to a place even the Daleks are too terrified to enter… the Asylum. A planetary prison confining the most terrifying and insane of their kind, the Doctor and the Ponds must find an escape route.
