Following a dramatic opening season, VH1 docu-soap Love & Hip Hop returns for its second season, following the life, love and careers of six women navigating the music industry. In the first episode, Chrissy [Lampkin] still doesn’t have a ring on her finger and her rapper boyfriend and Jim Jones has already lost his, whilst his mom is busy recording a diss rap titled “Psychotic Bitch,” aimed at Jim and Chrissy.
Meanwhile, celebrity stylist Emily [Bustamante] is no longer willing to live without a real commitment, so she left rapper Fabolous and set up house with her two kids. Former G-Unit songstress Olivia and singer/rapper Somaya Reese both continue to try and figure out how to survive in the music industry.
There are two new women in the mix this season; Jones’ manager Yandy [Smith] and video model Kimbella [Vanderhee], who is the baby mama of rapper Juelz Santana – but dated Fabolous three years ago; a details which emerges at an emancipation party Emily throws to celebrate her newly single status.
