Just as members of Rihanna‘s UK Navy were all ready to call in sick to work to hang out with their favourite popstar, her management suddenly cancelled her scheduled trip at the very last minute, impacting the new Sky Living fashion TV show on which she was working with Brit singer Nicola Roberts.
After months of fears about her health as she was burning the candle at both ends by partying as hard as she was working, Rihanna’s management pulled her out of the Sky Living project apparently due to “sickness,” although an official statement has not yet been given.
A source tells The Sun newspaper, “She cancelled her trip and all work commitments in the UK at the very last minute, which is very unlike her. She has been hitting it hard for months. She smokes, drinks and parties hard on top of work commitments.”
As well as taking part in the Sky Living show, the 24-year-old was also due to headline both the annual Hackney Weekend festival, which begins later this month, and this year’s Wireless Festival.
Fans will have to wait and see if these dates will be affected but for now Rihanna will be staying in the U.S. for a much-needed break.
