Grand Hustle head honcho T.I. paid a visit to BET’s most famous address Monday to push his just-released second novel Trouble & Triumph: A Story of Power & Beauty, and while there he gave Rocsi and the crowd at 106 & Park an update on his highly-anticipated album Trouble Man.

Trouble Man is coming on December 18,” he confirmed, providing the first announcement of a new release date since the initial September 4 date was nixed. “I’m proud of all the material that’s on there. I’m gearing up to release a classic album to these people, man.”

He also confirmed that the project will include collaborations with DJ Toomp and Pharrell as well as cameo appearances from the likes of Andre 3000 and Cee Lo.

About Trouble & Triumph, which is the sequel to 2011′s Power & Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets, Tip says that its creation is the result of fans demanding closure after the original’s uncertain ending.

“People ran up on me in the streets like, ‘How could you do that? How could you just end the book like that? What’s gonna happen next?’” he said. “So now all of you people who ran up on me in the skreet back then — notice I said ‘skreet’ — here is the latest installment in the saga of Power and Beauty.”

Check out what else Tip is working on — including his clothing line, TV and film projects — by watching the video below.
