VH1 Storytellers: Jill Scott | TV Catch-Up

Our interest was piqued with the one-song sneak peek we got last week, and last night VH1 finally premiered the latest season of their popular Storytellers series, which showcased the myriad talents of Grammy-winning singer and all-around fly girl Jill Scott.

Part song-and-dance routine, part spoken word session, part stage play and all entertaining, this edition of Storytellers was every bit as engrossing as you probably expected it to be. Jill ran through hits both old and new from her extensive and impressive catalog, seasoning the performances with a dash of comedy, a few spoonfuls of that trademark Philly sass for which she’s become known and loved, and, of course, a whole heap of narratives about life, love and the overall Jill Scott experience.
