Parodying Noel Clarke‘s films Kidulthood and Adulthood (both of which he starred in), actor/director Adam Deacon creates this generation’s first big screen ‘urban’ comedy, in which he pokes fun at some of the representations of inner city British youth.
His character, Kenneth (who prefers to be known as ‘Kay’) quits his job at supermarket Laimsbury’s and fruitlessly pursues his dreams of becoming a respected rapper/drug dealer/gangster – or ‘cry trying’.
Featuring a solid UK cast, the film also stars fellow Kidulthood/Adulthood actor Femi Oyeniran, Richard Blackwood, Eddie Kadi, Jazzie Zonzolo, Jamie Winstone, Ollie Barbieri, Birds of a Feather‘s Linda Robson and Ashley Walters.
