Forget Will and Jada. Move over, Brad and Angelina. Step off, Jay and Bey. The world has a new power couple and they actually have super powers. No amount of many, celebrity star-dust, or leaked sex-tapes will out-do this duo; an out of this world twosome with a skillset to bring the world crumbling to its knees.
One is faster than a speeding bullet; the other possesses Amazonian strength. One is the legendary son of Krypton; the other the prodigy of the Greek goddess Aphrodite. The couple in question? None other than Clark Kent and Diana Prince. Aka Superman and Wonderman.
DC has revealed the pair of superheroes will be transitioning from Superfriends (get it?) to smitten lovers, developing a relationship expected to last a couple of issues.
With the two heroes romancing with locked lips on the cover the latest issue of DC Comics’ Justice League, series writer Geoff Johns explained the new rapport between the iconic characters, though previously explored, will be taking an unprecedented look at the superhuman couple’s love-ties, saying, ”This is the new status quo.”
Artist Jim Lee added: “Hopefully this will raise a lot of eyebrows.”
The latest issue of Justice League goes on sale on 29 August.
