Geek Alert: ‘Hitman: HD Trilogy’ announced | Game News

The latest game in the Hitman series, Absolution, has received scores across the board, but that hasn’t stopped publisher Square Enix from capitalising on the series’ re-emergence after six years.

Following other popular series such as God of War, Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill, the three previous entries in the Hitman collection – Hitman: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money – have been upgraded with HD textures and will be re-released together for the 360 and PS3 as the Hitman HD: Trilogy.

The collection will certainly appeal to those that have only played Absolution, as well as veteran fans who felt the game changed the Hitman formula too much. A premium edition of the HD trilogy will retail for the same price and include an exclusive art-book with 22 pieces of “never before seen” reinterpretations of classic moments from the three games. Peep the cover art below, and await the (re-)release of the games on February 2nd.
