Marvel Heroes invites gamers to engage in free, Action RPG-style gameplay, combining core elements of Diablo with the expansive library of characters from the Marvel Universe.
Created by Diablo‘s David Brevik and based on a story crafted by comic book scribe Brian Michael Bendis — the brains behind Ultimate Spider-Man and Secret Invasion — MH encourages gamers to explore the Marvel universe with iconic superheroes like Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, Wolverine, Hulk, and many others from the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four, donning the capes and cowls of Marvel’s finest to visit famous locations be it Avengers Tower to Mutant Town or the Savage Land.
With the villainous Dr. Doom in possession of the powerful Cosmic Cube — “a device of untold power capable of changing the very fabric of reality” — and determined to “reshape the world in his own image,” the premise of Marvel Heroes poses the all-important question: “Can you unravel Doctor Doom’s sinister plan and stop him before it’s too late?”
Taking up arms to stop the evil Dr., gamers team up online with friends or play solo, building and customising characters using a library of spectacular powers and an endless variety of gear, facing up to several Marvel enemies including Purifiers, HYDRA and various super-villains.
