According to reports from Billboard, the odds that Grammy Award winning UK soul singer/songwriter Adele will score a US Number 1 album with her recent effort 21 are “pretty great,” with industry prognosticators suggesting that Adele’s 21 album may sell as many as 275,000 to 300,000 copies in its first week [ending Sunday 27 February], which would hand her not only her biggest weekly US sales figure but also the biggest sales week for an album since the Christmas frame last December.

Adele’s current single from the 21 album, ‘Rolling In The Deep‘ currently seats at number 26 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and is likely to surpass her 2009 smash hit ‘Chasing Pavements,’ which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard singles charts.

In other related news, Adele recently made history in the UK for being the first living artist since the Beatles in 1964 to have two entries simultaneously in the top five of both the singles and album charts.

If you haven’t purchased Adele’s 21 yet with yet being the key word there, you can do so on iTunes or Amazon.
