After The Roots drummer/Musical Director ?uestlove threw propane on the flames of rumours that the long awaited third album from the AWOL modern soul legend D’angelo was actually in progress and on the way, Q-Tip has gone ahead thrown some more fuel on the growing inferno.
The A Tribe Called Quest founding father tweeted earlier today about a studio session he had just completed with D’Angelo “Just finished with d’angelo. WOW!”, continuing on Tip also re-assured fans who may be worried that D’Angelo may have “fallen off” in his 11 time away “Let me say… He is on his A game with the music! #dangelo”.
Tip also had the opputunity to listen something that ?uestlove and D’Angelo have been working on “And @questlove did a joint with d’angelo that is INSANE!”. Exciting times!
Although Q-Tip didn’t say where the material they had worked on will end up, we will assume (hope & pray) that it will end up on the long-awaited follow up to Voodoo. Stay locked for further updates.
