Jay-Z to become 1st solo hip hop act to headline Carnegie Hall with charity concerts [Video]

Earlier today Shawn Carter aka JAY Z held a press conference to announce that he would be holding a special series of conferences to raise to raise funds for the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation to help New York public schools. The rapper and mogul will be taking the stage for two intimate concerts at Carnegie Hall on February 6th and 7th, 2012 and will mark the first time a solo hip hop act has ever headlined the legendary New York venue.

Tickets will be sold first privately on Monday, December 12th with public tickets going on sale from January 30th, 2012.
