It may have sold over 3 million copies, being certified triple platinum in the United States, and received wide acclaim from music critics, but Tha Carter III has proved to be a thorn in Lil Wayne‘s bank balance in recent months. It was only a number of weeks ago that he settled a $20 million lawsuit with producer Deezle over the “Lollipop” and “Mrs. Officer” cuts, and now the Cash Money rapper has had to settle another financial dispute.

According to TMZ, Weezy has reached an agreement with producer David Kirkwood over the album’s deluxe edition bonus track, “Love Me Or Hate Me”, for a fee of $1.5 million. Kirkwood filed a lawsuit against Cash Money Records and its Young Money imprint back in 2011 over non-payments of the song.

Wayne initially fought back in asking a judge to dismiss the case, but he eventually decided to settle the lawsuit with Kirkwood out of court.
