While Eli Manning takes on hosting duties for this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, musical guest Rihanna is in talks to star in a skit alongside her partner-in-crime Andy Sandberg.
Rihanna’s no stranger to the show, with two hilarious sketches already under her belt. Her standout turns with Sandberg’s character Shy Ronnie have earned the pair an Emmy nomination, so it’s no wonder the TV bosses want RiRi back for another one. SNL head honcho Lorne Michaels seems eager to get the singer on board with the final details being worked out to make it happen.
“Yes, [we're] hoping so,” MTV quotes Michaels as saying on a recent call with reporters. “We’ll know [soon]. I wish I could report on everything that’s been written. If this were tomorrow, I could. I know that there are a lot of things in the works, but I don’t frankly know how they turned out. And I think it’s our intention.”
We’ll have to wait and see how it all works out. This week’s SNL episode airs May 5 at 11:30pm EST on American network NBC.
