R&B singer Vesta Williams found dead, aged 48 | Music News

SoulCulture has just learned the sad news that 1980′s R&B singer Vesta Williams was found dead in her hotel room in Los Angeles last night. She was 48 years old and at the moment, the cause of death is unknown.

The legendary singer was born in 1963 in Ohio and she rose to fame in the early 1980s reaching her peak in the mid 80s, scoring six top 10 hits on the US Billboard R&B chart – including a number two hit with her single “Special” in 1990.
