Only a few years ago you might have found Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller rocking in the same circles (both rappers hail from Pittsburgh, PA) on their quest to become hip-hop stars. It looks thing things have come full circle for the pair as today they announced their joint tour, Under The Influence of Music.
Wiz’s right-hand man, Taylor Gang‘s own Chevy Woods, and TDE tandem Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q will give support as the special guests for the nine-date summer roadshow.
The Under The Influence of Music tour kicks off in Cincinnati, OH, on July 6th, making stops in Chicago, Indianapolis, Toronto, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and the duo’s hometown of Pittsburgh before wrapping things up in Detroit on August 5th.
“I’m really excited for this tour, for the fans and as a fan of music myself. It’s gonna be trippy!” Khalifa said in a statement.
Mac added, “I’m excited to go on a tour like this because it brings a group of individuals together to move across the country as a unit to showcase great music.”
Fans can expect a certain medicinal plant to be at the heart of these forthcoming shows; the name itself does a poor job of hiding the connotations.
