Soulful UK talents Alice Russell and Bridgette Amofah head to Hackney Central this month alongside Gideon Conn, Stac and the OneTaste Choir to perform Live At St. John’s – an acoustic live music event curated by Sound:check to support international charity Child Hope, which works to give children a life free from injustice and abuse.
Taking place on July 26th at St John’s Church, the event will feature filmed, stripped-back, acoustic performances with 100% of the event’s proceeds going to ChildHope; which is “currently working with over 45,000 children in over ten countries throughout Africa, Asia, and South America to help prevent child abuse and exploitation, and assisting children affected by poverty, HIV and AIDS, and social injustice.”
With an audience of only 1,200 people, Live At St. John’s promises to be a very special event, with the artists performing to a church organ, baby grand piano and a string section. Watch preview videos of Bridgette Amofah and Gideon Conn rehearsing for the event below – and to enjoy some inspiring music and support a great cause, tickets for the event can be purchased here.
