With the release date of her highly anticipated comeback album Two Eleven being pushed back (yet again) to October 2nd, R&B star Brandy now has time on her hands [albeit reluctantly] to reacquaint herself with her fans and R&B music lovers alike via the live stage. Yesterday, following her special 93.9 WKYS-hosted concert at the Howard Theater in Washington DC, the Grammy Award winning artist took to the live stage at the Global Fusion Festival in Philly, joining the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Elle Varner and Kenny Lattimore.
To kick off her set the singer/actress performed many of her timeless “oldies” that made her a star during the mid-late ’90s, including ’I Wanna Be Down,’ ‘Best Friend,’ ‘What ABout Us,’ ‘Baby,’ ’Almost Doesn’t Count’ and ‘Right Here (Departed).’ Not wanting to live in the past, Brandy brought things back to 2012 to perform her current buzz single ‘Put It Down’ (sans Chris Brown) – check the footage below of Brandy’s entire 30 minute set.
