Emeli Sande announces UK Tourdates, November 2012 | Event Preview

Glaswegian singer and songwriter Emeli Sande has announced another UK tour, kicking off in November this year. Following the success of her first headline tour earlier this year, this will be the second UK headline tour for the BRIT’s Critics Choice award winning talent, who took the number one spot on the UK album charts with her debut Our Version Of Events.

Currently being introduced to America with a series of live dates and appearances, the singer’s tour starts in her Scottish home town of Glasgow on November 6th, in support of Nordoff-Robins Music Therapy, with further shows at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall [in support of the Prince's Trust] before heading over to Manchester for the final date.

Proceeds from the Glasgow and London shows will be donated to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland and the Prince’s Trust charities respectively.

“I was extremely happy to accept the kind invitation to become an Ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, having witnessed the wonderful work that they do first hand and having met some of those lucky enough to benefit from the support which they offer,” says Sande.

“As a former medical student, it’s wonderful to see the therapeutic qualities and comfort that music brings, and that is seen nowhere better than in the wonderful work undertaken by the Nordoff-Robins charity in Scotland who will be the beneficiaries from my Glasgow show.

“I’m looking forward to contributing in some small way to highlighting the work that these two organisations do.”
