Are you ready for a dose of hi-tek soul? Fat Freddy’s Drop is bringing their unique blend of reggae, soul and dub on a well overdue European Tour. Even seven years after its release the Wellington, New Zealand hailing band’s 2005 debut album, Based On A True Story, still has songs on regular rotation in our summer playlists.
Following shows at Portugal’s Sudoeste Festival, headlining London’s HMV Forum and the popular Standon Calling Festival earlier this week, the band roll through 16 further tour dates; culminating the UK leg in Sheffield and Bristol before embarking across Europe, playing as the main attraction at Austria’s Sunsplash before closing in Croatia at the Outlook Festival.
If you’ve never experienced their live set, grab a couple of mates, a few bottles of Strongbow and a pair of dancing shoes for a guaranteed good night. Full tour dates below.
