The custody battle between Usher and his ex-wife, Tameka Foster, finally came to a conclusion yesterday (August 24th), with the R&B musician being awarded custody of their two sons, Usher V and Naviyd. Tameka still holds some custodial rights, although it is unknown to what extent these are.
The ruling comes as somewhat of a surprise, given Foster’s strong accusations against Usher. She claimed her ex-husband was too absorbed in his career to be a good father, and that he used drugs when his sons were present.
The conclusion of the court battle will doubtfully ease the pain for Foster, following the tragic loss of her 11-year-old son, and Usher’s stepson, Kile Glover, who died after sustaining injuries from a jet-ski accident earlier this year.
