As the Olympic torch makes it’s way through Britain being passed from person to person, an unlikely figure was on the receiving end of it yesterday – will.i.am. He’s not a Brit, nor is he an athlete, but nontheless he threw on a London 2012 Olympic t-shirt and joined the precession as the 109th person to guide the torch.
Heading over to Taunton in England, the popstar brought some cheer and excitement to the town as he posed with fans and tweeted along the way.
The Black Eyed Peas frontman has been reprimanded in the past by TV producers for posting on the social network site whilst live on UK show The Voice, but that wasn’t going to stop him doing so for this ‘once in a lifetime experience.’
The eccentric star finished his journey by thanking Coca Cola for giving him the opportunity to take part, as he jumped in a helicopter home, taking his torch with him.
