Taking on a new venture in order to help support new businesses, Google UK along with Jump Studios have created their very own campus. Set up in the heart of London’s tech district in Shoreditch, the campus will provide office spaces that will be available for rent by new business starters.
Kitted out with over 200 office desks, 16 meeting rooms the campus also provides an event space that can hold up to 140 people at a time. When it’s time for a break, workers can relax in one of the break out spots or cafe that is available in the seven-storey building.
The east London campus which takes over 2300-sq-m of space seeks to connect the café located on the lower level and social areas with five upper stories’ open-plan work rooms. The interior that can be found in the campus is made out of materials including inexpensive linoleum, recycled vegetable crates and raw plywood giving off a modern yet not-established look to the area.
Created to encourage new business start-ups to continue with their developments and to learn, the space will provide a great environment for work as well as play, according to Shaun Fernandes, co-founder of Jump Studios.
“The challenge was to take an unprepossessing office building and create an interplay between dynamic, open, social spaces and more intimate working hubs, with flexibility to accommodate a shifting workforce and a diverse program of events,” Fernandes told Frameweb.
The space will also be home to a range of networking events seeing guest speakers like entrepreneurship experts visiting the grounds as well as a Google mentoring program.
Located at 4-5 Bonhill Street, London UK, take a look at some of the pictures taken from the campus below.
