International urban lifestyle brand New Era has officially launched the New Era Cube, its first-ever digital application devised by London-based digital creative agency, Somewhat.
“For The Cube we created an interface that hasn’t been seen before,” says Somewhat Managing Partner Jon Carney. “It’s controlled by your movement and touch. We made a big virtual world of New Era content that can be accessed via a smartphone. This is a very high tech app, but with a slick user experience, so it just feels like fun.”
Aimed at engaging their young, fashion- and technology-conscious consumers, the New Era Cube has six unique features including the interactive heritage timeline, Street Style Tumblr, unique GIF Builder and an addictive retro-style football game and is a great platform to keep New Era connected with their target market. It will allow users to curate and share lifestyle elements and is packaged with information, style and inspiration.
“Bringing New Era alive with digital innovation is a perfect match for New Era consumers and this is a major initiative for New Era becoming a leading digital-marketing brand,” says Matthew Griffiths, New Era’s Marketing Director.
New Era Cube is available on both the iPhone and iPad, and can be downloaded via iTunes now. Users can keep up with the latest additions to The Cube by searching the #neweracube hashtag on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram.
