50 Cent discusses new album, Gangsta Grillz mixtape + more [Audio]

Andy Bustard May 5, 2012 Hip Hop, Music Comments

Ahead of his close friend Floyd Mayweather‘s WBA light-middleweight title fight with Miguel Cotto that takes place tonight, 50 Cent stopped by on Las Vegas radio host Bootleg Kev‘s show. In a 25-minute interview, which Kev called a “highlight” of his career, Fiddy spoke on his forthcoming fifth studio album (which was recently tagged with a July 2nd release date), revealing that it’s “pretty much done”, his additional future project, the Gangsta Grillz mixtape, which will be 14-tracks long, his appreciation for Meek Mill and other up-and-coming rappers adopting the mixtape hustle and much, much more.

Of course, the Mobb Deep situation was impossible to avoid (particularly as the Queensbridge duo were once signed to G-Unit) and 50 gave his two cents on that, also. No spoilers, though, listen to the interview below.
