Black Hippy channels their inner Temptations with a rendition of ‘My Girl’ [Video]

When you find a lane that works for you, it’s usually in your best interest to remain in it. Apparently, the Black Hippy crew never got that memo.

Aspiring filmmaker Jabari Johnson recently caught up with TDE/Aftermath‘s Cali-repping band of brothers for his show Jabari Presents, and the season two preview features the quartet of Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q breaking into their best Temptations impression with a remixed rendition of the classic “My Girl.”

As you can probably imagine, the crew’s crooning was all in fun. While they never established which Temptation each Hippy was supposed to be (I guess Q was David Ruffin since he sang lead), they did make one thing perfectly clear: deciding to rap and not sing was definitely the right choice.

Season two of Jabari Presents coming soon.
