While the post-weekend blues find themselves taking effect on a Tuesday this week – the dreary mood not helped by the fact that Leeds and Reading Festivals, Creamfields, Notting Hill Carnival, or whatever your Bank Holiday plans involved have come to a downpour of an ending – allow Cherri Voncelle to help rejuvinate your spirits.
Presenting her sophomore effort, the follow up to last year’s Shades of Red, the UK-born songstress, who is perhaps best known for her 2009 collaboration with Wiley, “Skool Daze,” when she went by Cherri V, offers Good Mourning Madame Rouge, a six-track EP comprised of soulful yet contemporary cuts, which should serve as a reminder of this particular homegrown singing talent.
Good Mourning Madame Rouge is available to stream and download below.
