Still doing the rounds in America, star Brit singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran made a stop at The Ellen Show earlier today to give an acoustic performance of “The A Team,” the lead single from his multi-platinum debut album, +.

A melancholy song delving into substance abuse, inspired by eye-opening stories Sheeran heard after performing a gig at homeless charity Crisis‘ London centre a few years ago, “The A Team” debuted at three in the UK charts last year with several more Top 10 positions internationally; also scooping an Ivor Novello award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

Watch his performance below, with Ellen declaring “I love his voice!”
