Emeli Sande performs “Clown” on X Factor UK final [Video]

Whilst my Twitter and Facebook feeds kept me well in the know about the goings on in the X Factor UK final on Sunday night (Dec. 9), I didn’t have time to watch it for myself. One thing I did notice though, sandwiched in between cruel comments about the winner’s looks and fanatical declarations of love for the winner’s talents, was that just about everyone was mesmerised by Emeli Sande, who appeared on the show to deliver a breathtaking live performance of her latest single “Clown”.

After premiering the video for the track just days ago, the vocally-blessed Scottish singer joined Rihanna and One Direction as a guest performer for the finale, and gave a moving rendition of the ballad from behind the piano. Dressed in an all-black ensemble, her voice had the judges on their feet, and crowned what has been an excellent year for the Aberdeenshire singer.
