Game x Stat Quo to launch Rolex Records label

With his fifth studio album Jesus Piece out on December 11th, Game has decided to begin a new business venture, launching a record label with fellow Dr Dre disciple Stat Quo.

Speaking with Billboard, the Compton rapper revealed that Rolex Records, the new imprint, would be a joint venture between him and the Atlanta-based Stat, an artist who has long been associated with Eminem, 50 Cent and other Aftermath acts. ”He was signed to Aftermath with me in the beginning” said Game, “Now we’re business partners, which is cool because he was a good friend of mine and he’s just as equally music smart…”

Game’s plans for the label seem to be in the preliminary phases at the moment. It’s likely that he’ll use the label as an outlet for his own future releases, having fulfilled his contractual obligations to Interscope with Jesus Piece, but he’s yet to confirm any new artists on Rolex Records.  “We’ve been up and running for about 30 days,” he commented, adding, “we’re gonna do it big though.”
