Whilst captivating West Coast lyricist Kendrick Lamar was over in North Carolina recently as part of his BET Music Matters tour, he called on top-charting local talent J. Cole to join him onstage and kick a freestyle, along with a few cuts from the Grammy nominated Roc Nation star’s debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, including “Nobody’s Perfect” and “Can’t Get Enough.”

Whilst both emcees have plans to make a full project together for now J. Cole is working away on his second album, meanwhile – co-signed by everyone from Dr Dre to Lady Gaga – Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, has been pushed back to an October 22 release through Top Dawg, Aftermath and Interscope Records.
