Homeboy Sandman – ‘FOUNDation’ | Mini-Documentary

Andy Bustard August 15, 2012 Documentaries, Music Comments

With Homeboy Sandman’s long-awaited debut album, First of a Living Breed, now scheduled for a September 18th arrival, and its first single, the Oddisee-produced “Watchu Want From Me?“, available to stream, Stones Throw release this mini-documentary on the acclaimed Queens-bred emcee entitled FOUNDation.

In the 8-plus minute clip, director Rel gives insight into Boy Sand’s come-up from a law school student to a hopeful rapper, how his father, a Golden Gloves-winning boxer, encouraged him to pursue his dreams, and his dependancy on weed to write rhymes, which he has since weaned off. Check it out below.

First of a Living Breed is available to pre-order now via Stones Throw.
