Jay Rock headed over to 106 & Park to hang out in “The Backroom” and treat us to this heavy hitting freestyle.

Having stood his ground on one of the hottest albums of the year, good kid m.A.A.d city, by delivering a flawless verse alongside fellow Black Hippy memberKendrick Lamar on the track “Money Trees”, Jay Rock proves yet again why he’s a force to be reckoned with by effortlessly spitting a number of ‘in-your-face’ bars over a beat provided by DJ Jayhood.

Dressed in a Black Hippy T-shirt, the rapper commands respect as he begins the freestyle and also makes sure to give a couple of nods to his record label, Top Dawg Entertainment. “Now they ask me how I do it/I treat the track like gum, just chew it”, says Jay Rock, as he mean mugs the mic and gives his account of why he’s a threat to the rap game.

The 26-year-old is currently prepping the follow up to his 2011 album, Follow Me Home. Check out the freestyle below.
