Gregory Porter – “Be Good” | Music Video

angie writes March 21, 2012 Jazz, Music Videos Comments

Celebrated jazz singer Gregory Porter has released the video for his slow-burning hit, “Be Good.” Directed by filmmaker Pierre Bennu, the whimsical video is shot on location in Baltimore, MD creating an urban fantasy land.

Bright colours pop off of wood and concrete as vivid characters add curious pages to Bennu’s visual storybook, thanks in large parts to Shawn Peters’ cinematography and visual artist Dirk Joseph‘s set work. Decked out in his signature head piece and vintage flair, Porter’s warmth shines through the camera as his rich vocals rumble gently through this song about love’s sweet torment and the fear vulnerability incites.

One of the most popular tunes in Porter’s impressive live set, “Be Good” is showcased intimately here with vibrant style. Take a peek below for some enchantment of your own.
