Iconic underground hip-hop producer-emcee DOOM, formerly known as MF DOOM, has had many aliases in his time, particularly for his collaborations (Zev Love X, Madvillain and Danger Doom to name just a few), but for one of his latest endeavours, the masked underground figure has united with fellow alt. rap act Jneiro Jarel to form JJ DOOM. Invading BBC Radio 4′s Loose Ends show recently, the pair gave a live performance of their “Winter Blues” track, accompanied by Mara Carlyle (instrumentation), Oliver Coates (cello), Sam Beste (piano) and Alexis Nunez (drums).
You can check out the performance below, which was apparently done in just one take. JJ DOOM are expected to put out their first album, Key To The Kuffs, on August 21st. Pre-orders are available now via Lex Records.
